05/19/2024Position: 2024-2025 School Year: Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDT-C)- Elementary Level

Position Summary: Ridgewood Public Schools seeks an LDT-C to serve an elementary school Grades K-5 for the 2024-2025 school year. Individual selected for this position will be the full-time case manager for their assigned location and responsible for coordinating with other the CST members that are shared between locations. Selected individual will be working with students in various special education settings both inclusion and self-contained, as well as participate as a member of the Intervention & Referral Services team. Selected individual will act as a teacher-consultant in curriculum planning, provide tiered interventions and strategies for general education students who evidence learning challenges, and maintain a high level of competency, keeping abreast of developments in content and methodology.

Qualifications:
  • New Jersey LDT-C Certification
  • Must have experience as a learning consultant, preferably at the elementary level
  • Must demonstrate the necessary specialized skills and personal characteristics to carry out the philosophy and instructional program of the Ridgewood Public Schools
  • Must have knowledge of and ability to meet state mandates related to students with disabilities
  • Must demonstrate expertise in educational evaluation, data analysis and interpretation, educational program planning, management and consultation for the atypical learner in conjunction with other team members and staff.
  • Must have experience monitoring the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (I.E.P.)
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with teachers, parents, and administrators both verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and have experience maintaining harmonious relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Start Date: August 28, 2024 plus 3 days NTO

Working Conditions: Full time, tenure track position, salary as per negotiated contract, and health benefits
