Salary: Negotiated Rate

Requirements:
  • Coursework in psychology, sociology, early childhood development, education, social work, behavior sciences, human development, or related fields preferred
  • RBT Certification preferred
  • Experience working with children with special needs or children who exhibit challenging behavior is preferred
  • Experience with data collection and implementation of behavior management strategies strongly preferred
  • Open to learning the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Willingness to manage significant challenging behavior including verbal and/or physical aggression and property destruction, under the guidance of a BCBA/BCaBA
  • Knowledge of child growth and development and appropriate classroom practices
  • Good oral communication skills and ability to collaborate with other team members
  • Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
Responsibilities:
  1. Provide behavioral guidance and academic support to students according to their IEP or other instructional program.
  2. Receive Applied Behavior Analysis-based training 2 hours/month.
  3. Record daily data on behaviors of interest, per behavioral intervention plan or as directed by the BCBA/BCaBA.
  4. Implement antecedent strategies, reinforcement systems, replacement skills and consequences as defined by behavioral intervention plan.
  5. Address behaviors in accordance with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
  6. Work collaboratively with other professionals to address the students ' needs.
  7. Maintain respect and confidentiality for all students.
